At CapitoleParfum, our primary mission is to democratize perfumery, to make it accessible and to introduce as many people as possible to the richness of this universe. The decant, by its very nature, promotes more responsible consumption, more accessible luxury and an approach that fits perfectly with the values of sustainable development.
Our commitment is based on several axes. First, we advocate consumption that is as close as possible to needs . The decant allows everyone to buy only what they need. Unlike large bottles, which are often expensive and sometimes left aside after a few uses, our decants offer the possibility of discovering a fragrance in small quantities, ideal for testing or varying pleasures on a daily basis. This approach minimizes waste by avoiding the accumulation of half-full and unused bottles, and allows access to perfumes in a more reasoned and personalized way. With the decant, every drop counts and is appreciated, and each bottle is designed to best meet the real desires and needs of each person.
To emphasize this responsible approach, we have implemented ethical sourcing and a circular economy . The majority of the perfumes we decant are purchased on the secondary market: these are bottles already purchased once on the main market (from the brand or a reseller) then put back on sale by individuals or professionals. This choice of sourcing allows us to give a second life to these perfumes, whether they are in new or little-used condition. This environmentally friendly approach limits the demand for new products by reusing existing bottles and integrating them into a renewed use cycle. Applied to perfume, this philosophy offers a concrete way to reduce our ecological impact while offering a unique service to our customers.
Finally, eco-responsible packaging for minimal impact is at the heart of our concerns. To meet our ecological commitment, we exclusively use glass bottles for our decants, a sustainable and recyclable material. As for our packaging, we favor FSC-certified cardboard boxes, made with raw materials from responsible and sustainably managed sources. In a logic of reuse, we also recover shipping boxes from suppliers from local organic stores, in order to reduce our ecological footprint while guaranteeing secure shipping.
